Sanguine drawings Trafalgar Square London No.5
This is a sanguine oil pencil drawing from a series that I made in Trafalgar Square in London. I had very limited time available so I had to make the drawings in thirty minutes or less. My aim was to try and collect as much tonal information as possible, with a view to making larger drawings from them, or paintings, at a later date. The people, the light, the weather, are all constantly changing. If you hang about long enough the occupant of the Trafalgar-Square-plynth will change as well. This drawing was made in the time of the ‘giant blue chicken’ !
